French Immersion Week

In accordance with the COVID-19 vaccination policy at Western University, all participants of in-person programming in Trois-Pistoles will be required to demonstrate proof of vaccination, unless granted a rare exemption by Western.

French Immersion for Adults - One Week

Would you like to speak French more easily and with greater confidence? Our French Immersion Week for adults lets you take a significant step toward your goal.

Improve your vocabulary and pronunciation, enjoy the opportunity to practice your speaking skills in the company of other adults at your level of French ability, get your mind into “French mode” again, enjoy the culture of Quebec, and make lasting memories while experiencing something totally unique.

What to Expect

The program welcomes participants at beginner to advanced levels of French proficiency. You will be placed in a small class of students who are at the same level.

Morning classes focus on language skills and vocabulary-building for everyday communication.  Lunch and conversation with other students at a local family's home. Afternoons feature conversation groups, pronunciation classes, cultural outings and additional class time.  Share your experiences over dinner with other students and your host family. Then spend the evenings enjoying social and cultural activities.
