Bursary for Ontario FSL Teachers

A limited number of bursaries are available for Ontario FSL teachers. 

The Ontario Ministry of Education is offering bursary funding to Ontario FSL teachers to cover the cost of our French Teachers’ Program in Trois-Pistoles. The bursaries cover the course tuition, accommodation and meals, and the program application fee. Bursary recipients will be responsible for their travel costs and personal spending.


Bursaries are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants who meet the criteria below.

  • Teacher of French as a Second Language (Core, Extended, Immersion), and
  • Employed by an English Ontario Public School Board.

Please note: Long-term occasional (LTO) teachers are also eligible.

Application and Fees

To be considered for a bursary, please complete the program application and submit the required fees (homestay and application fees).  Those eligible for bursary funding will be contacted within 1-2 business days to confirm whether a bursary is available or whether you have been placed on our wait list for funding. If you are placed on the wait list and/or choose to withdraw your application, our program refund policy will apply.

Upon successful completion of the program, the fees paid at the time of registration will be returned to those in receipt of bursary funding.
